I can't believe it's been over a month since my last post. See what happened was, work started getting crazy busy, I got sick, had to cancel some events, some events got cancelled on me. March was supposed to be filled with fun fun things, but you know, life just never goes the way it's planned. But, I'm back. One of my favorite Australian bands, The Grates, were in town for a few shows. I wanted to go to both, but only made it to one. And what a good show it was. I love them. Alana is the most adorable drummer. I love Patience (btw, you look great as a platinum blondie). She's one of my all time favorite front-girls. The band has really good energy and she is just so cute. Her vocals are amazing. She's cute as a button. She can jump and dance like no other. The first time I saw her, she was wearing a yellow frock with green wellies! Yay! If you've been following my blog, you know by now she is definitely a muse of mine. Many times, I've used their lyrics as blog post titles, I did an illustration inspired by their song, and, I've seen them before. Their songs are happy yet sad to me. And I like that combination in music, when it makes you feel like that. Oh, I almost forgot, she sang my favorite song, my favorite part, directly to me! Like in my face! That made me happy. Definitely, one of those unforgettable shows I'll be thinking about. Love the Grates!
