That depends on what they're for

Who woulda thunk it?  That I'd get to see Gerard Way at the Troubadour.  One of my favorite artists, and one of my favorite venues.  To think that it's already been ten years since I fell in love with MCR.  And got through some tough times listening to their first album.  Fast forward through several amazing MCR shows and memories, and you get 2014, where MCR is no more, but Gerard Way is back with a solo album.  A solid solo album that any Gerard fan is bound to love.  I immediately loved the songs when I first heard them.  "Millions" is my favorite song right now.  "Drugstore Perfume" and "Action Cat" are also so good.  And when I saw them live, he had a great band he calls The Hormones.  And it was the best sounds to hear: Gerard's singing, and loud electric guitars, with plenty of distortion pedals, reminding me of all the things I love.

Now we're being watched by google

Kasabian at the Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA

October 8, 2014

I didn't get there early but I was lucky enough to barely make it to the pit at the Wiltern.  I was happy about that.  I was also very tired as these last few months have been a little more than hectic.  But it felt nice to see Kasabian again.  Bo Ningen was also perfectly super avant garde and cool.  Another level of cool.  Kasabian sounded good.  My best memory of them still is two years ago at Coachella where I magically made it to the front center without being crushed.  And their set time was in the evening so there were cool breezes to save us from the scorching heat of earlier.  Oh, and I think Serge might be my spirit animal.

When you hear the words, the words you long to hear, open up

Went to see Temples at the Glasshouse in Pomona.  Temples is a band that I've really come to like a lot.  I think I first heard Shelter Song on MBE.  I missed their set at Coachella because of a conflict of schedules.  My crew went to see them instead.  And I wasn't lucky enough to see them at the Roxy during the Local Chella shows.  Which is all fine because the stars finally aligned at the Glasshouse, a really cool venue.  And it was a great show.  I got there just in time for Wampire.  Enjoyed their set.  Temples were really good as well.  I've been listening to their album and it's a solid album I'd say.  It felt great to be out.  I really feel like myself the most when I'm at a show watching good bands.

On an unrelated note, I know I haven't been posting as much lately.  A lot of changes happened over the past year and a half.  I think changes probably started happening a little before that.  Anyways, everything's just so different now.  I don't post as much but I will try to share any cool gigs I go to or any new projects I work on.  Thanks for reading my blog.
