To make my life harder, or more enjoyable, I tend to like things that are harder to find. Not intentionally, but it ends up being that way. Such as magazines. I really like foreign magazines such as i-D, NME, Lula, Jalouse, etc. I used to be able to find these magazines at Borders. Well, now that Borders went bankrupt and closed all their stores here, I wasn't sure where to go. For hard to find magazines, I'd suggest the newsstand at Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, or the one on Hollywood and Cahuenga. Last weekend, I went to the one in Hollywood. Go during the day, and you'll find plenty of street meter parking close by. But meter parking is still expensive, so I'd recommend you go with a bag of coins, or know what your are looking for. The lady that works there is super cool, too! Then, for music, you can always buy stuff online, but it's fun to go out for some human interaction, right? Then, go hang out at Amoeba and try not to spend too much money because it's very tempting to buy everything you see there. Such as those Beatles lamps. Anyways, here's what I bought recently.
