Pump your brakes, kid

Went to go see Amazing Baby at the Troubadour. When I googled this band recently, I read reviews about how they first heard of this band usually mentioned in the same sentence as MGMT. I can honestly say that when I first heard of this band, it was on Indie 103.1 and it was not anything related to MGMT. Just wanted to get that out of the way because it annoyed me. As for the show, it was good, of course. They opened with Headdress and closed with Pump Yr Brakes. Really good. Think they just wrapped up their US tour with the Entrance Band.

So pretty much everyone in LA has heard of the Entrance Band. This was my first time seeing them live. I have to be completely honest when I say I'm not a huge fan of psychadelic music. Don't get mad. The ones who know me, it's not a big surprise. But I will say that I was very much impressed with the Entrance Band. Blown away at how great they were. I instantly noticed that the singer was left handed but, at one point, I was wondering why his volume knobs were on top, not the bottom. Then I looked at his guitar strings and realized he was playing a right hander's guitar, left handed. Amazing. I was also very much mesmerized by the bassist.
