Because liars own the world
If you know me, you know that I am a fan of The Blood Brothers. I've seen them at the Roxy, and I've seen Neon Blonde there, too. When I first heard "Highways of Gold" by Jaguar Love, I was really excited. I kept missing opportunities to see them (Cinespace, Echo, Henry Fonda). Those were mostly on weekdays, and I was so tired from work. Work is important, how else would I be able to afford going to all these shows? Anyways, I thought I missed my chance and was a little disappointed. That was until they announced that they were going to play the Silverlake Lounge! I freaked out and bought tickets online like a big dork that I am. I already bought some singles from iTunes, but when I met Johnny at the merch table, I just had to buy the album. How many people can say they bought the Jaguar Love album straight from Johnny? Omg. Also, because I am a big dork, I needed to watch from the front row and made my friends endure, or rather enjoy, the sweat, spit, and screaming with me. Just the way I like my rock and roll. It was probably one of the best live shows I have ever been to. I think these guys are absolutely amazing. The lyrics are pure poetry, and I really feel them. It was amazing to see them play right in front of me in this tiny little venue. The crowd was energetic and fun. This night was so perfect. I will remember it forever. Legendary.
FYI: Jaguar Love is Johnny Whitney and Cody Votolato (The Blood Brothers), Jay Clark (Pretty Girls Make Graves), and on bass, Craig Bonich (Head Automatica)
His organ sounds like clouds
brushing against the moon
on an ice crusted midnight
but everything it hurts
Go do yourself a favor and listen to "My Organ Sounds Like..." or just buy the album already.

Craig Bonich is also incredibly nice and I found out about them from him after a Head Automatica concert at my school. They look good live, nice pictures!
