So why not do it forever

Show 4.

Show 3.

I think I've lost it and I think that I've lost you

June 12, 2010 @ One Colorado - Pasadena, CA
KCRW held an outdoor summer concert series and Hot Hot Heat performed. When we got there, it was getting pretty crowded. The set-up was nice, with the chairs and all. People were staking out spots everywhere for a better view. The band started and it wasn't until he started singing "Oh, Goddamnit" that some fans came out to the front and started dancing. Which created a chain reaction and more people came closer to the stage. At first, we were just being considerate of the people that were seated, but it was, after all, a rock show, so who needs to be seated anyway, right? The energy was great. Everyone sang along to old favorites and even some new tunes. Another great show that I will put in my memory book of some of the best moments.

To give you something to go on

Show 2 @ Bootleg Theater.

Eulogies
Another really good LA band. Once I said to someone, "I really like Eulogies. Their songs are sad." She replied: "Well, they're called Eulogies."

In-Store @ Origami Vinyl - Echo Park,CA
It was a very warm Sunday. There was some punk rocker convention next door at the Echo. They played an acoustic set at the Origami Vinyl store. We bought the Future Breeds vinyl and got it signed. A lovely day.

How you look and how you feel they're not the same deal

Night 1 of Hot Hot Heat's residency at the Bootleg Theater. A band called Chasing Kings opened the show. I was excited to see them as I've been liking their songs ever since hearing them on the sadly now defunct WOXY (all my favorite music sources are disappearing, but more on that on another post). Really enjoyed their set. Then, after what seemed like forever, Hot Hot Heat came on. They sang songs from their newest album and their first album. A good mix of "Goddess on the Prairie", "Bandages", "Give Up", and even "Le Le Low". Everyone was definitely happy to see this band back again. It would be a great month to look forward to.

I looked you straight in the eyes and nothing really mattered

Monday was the first day of Summer! Sorry for the lack of posts. I've been uninspired and whatever ever since late last year, but now the sun is shining. The weather's gorgeous. The breeze and air smell amazing and sweet. I've discovered lots of great new music. I hope to share them with you guys soon. Enjoy your summer!
