Road to Coachella - Cabazon Dinosaurs

"I'm a loner, Dottie.  A rebel."

Last Thursday, we headed out to the desert for Coachella Weekend 2.  Unlike two years ago, where we left late and got stuck in horrible traffic, this year was much better.  We left early and had time to make a pit stop at Cabazon and visit the Cabazon dinosaurs!  Finally!  I've lived in LA all my life but this was my first time visiting these dudes.  I've seen them from the freeway a couple of times.  Most famous for its appearance in the movie Pee Wee's Big Adventure!  It seems like everyone makes a stop here on their way to the desert for a quick photo op.  But, we actually went inside the museum.  You have to pay admission, but it's a low fee.  I thought there wouldn't be much, and I just wanted to climb inside the dinosaur to get to the inside of the mouth view, but it was actually a lot of fun and lots to see.  Perfect for kids.  I'd recommend checking it out.  After that, we arrived at the hotel and had delicious mexican food for dinner.  The weather was cool and windy.  The evening air was refreshing and I was ready to enjoy my little getaway I call Coachella.

Ran into "The Ceremonies" again....  (as in the sticker)
