You're the kind of person, you think you're better than everyone
Yes. This is a new post. So what finally got this blog out of hiatus? What got me out of the house on a cold winter day? (I'm sorry but, if LA winter is all you know, anything below 60 is pretty cold.) What made jaded ol' me go out to a show again? Well, if the Soft Pack says they are going to play 10 shows in 1 day all over LA, you better get out there and check it out! I've been loving "Pull Out" whenever it comes on on WOXY, my station of choice, especially when I'm chained to my desk at work. So, yesterday was a gorgeous Saturday in LA. The sun was shining. I made it to show #2 around noon, but I got there late. I caught the last two songs and watched from outside. It was a small shop and totally packed inside. Later in the evening, I made it out to show #8 at Vacation Vinyl in Los Feliz. I made it inside and listening to their songs live was amazing. They just sounded so good even in that small record shop. They played everyone's favorite "Extinction". "Pull Out" live was so good, I think we all freaked out. So, big thanks to the Soft Pack for pulling me out of my funk. It was nice to be back out surrounded by cute music loving hipsters. This winter feels so long.

Let's hang on to what we've got
Yes, it's true. This blog is kind of on a hiatus. Honestly, ever since last October, a change has come over me. And I'm usually just exhausted from work and trying to squeeze in art projects I want to do and then making time for friends and family. It's physically and mentally just draining. I need to take a breather. I don't want to stop this blog, just saying I probably won't be updating that often anymore. It's winter and I don't even feel like going out after hard work weeks. I'm feeling all jaded and stuff so. I don't want to get into details, but this is just a brief explanation. However, here are some amazing pictures I took several years ago that I didn't get to share with you probably because these were taken way before I started this blog. Thanks for checking out my blog and I will try to have more stuff for you guys later.

All the things that I want and need in life
RIP Jay Reatard. I'm truly shocked and very sad and heartbroken right now. I never even got to see your crazy live shows. I love your garage punk sound so much. And your lyrics really touch me. So much that I chose your song as the first song on my first Five Songs Show. Your voice, your songs, your music, your energy will truly be missed.

Five Songs Show #2
This one is dedicated to the start of a new year. Being wise and patient is all about knowing how to HOLD IT IN. And sometimes your STING IN THE TALE will snap off but, you'll heal and get on with your life. Always fighting to be a mover and a shaker, surely you will have STARTED A FIRE. So I hope you are all POISED AND READY to get on out there and show them you can do this. With that said, it's expected you will have your share of some tough days, then you can just escape UP ON THE ROOF and look at the moon and the stars. Happy New Year.
