Won't you come and visit me when I'm dreaming

I need your bedroom eyes

Sounding tight and looking cool.

I saw Grand Ole Party at the Echo back in October 2006 when they opened for CSS.  They were pretty memorable, mainly because of Kristin being on drums and singing.  And can you believe I still have a free CD that they gave me at this show?

My first Coachella

Breakfast at the hotel Friday morning

Kogi tacos

I got an extra slice of pizza for free because he liked my Clash tee so much.

Border Grill potato taquitos and churro tots

Room service breakfast Monday morning

The resort we stayed at was amazing and gorgeous!  This was the view from the front door of our room!

Cool Haus!

Stayed at the best resort ever!  I just forgot to pack my swimsuit!  Darn!

My first ever Coachella was an amazing and overwhelming experience.  After I bought my tickets in January, all I ever thought about was Coachella.  At one point, I said "Coachella is like my wedding!  Everything must go according to plan, perfectly!"  And besides the crazy heat, it was pretty much perfect.  I only went to Coachella because of the best lineup ever.  So personal and meaningful to me and my youth.  I definitely went for the music.  The moments were so surreal but I'm overjoyed to realize it really happened.  I felt like a kid going to Disneyland for the first time.

Coachella Weekend 2 Day Three

On Sunday, there weren't that many acts we wanted to see, which was a good thing since we were so exhausted from Friday and Saturday.  Wait, actually, there were many other bands I wanted to see, but couldn't because they went on so early there was absolutely no way I could endure the heat for that long.  If I could've, I would've seen Sleeper Agent for sure.  But I missed them.  We were so tired.  We got to Coachella in the afternoon.
We caught a bit of Fitz & the Tantrums.

We tried to get a decent spot for The Hives.  There was no way we were going to get into the center crowd section because the main stage area is just crazy.  We still had a good view.  One of the top reasons we decided to come to Coachella was The Hives.  You don't understand how excited I was that they were coming back.  The last time I saw them was back in 2008.  I waited and waited forever and was pretty sure they weren't ever coming back.  So you can imagine the level of my joy and excitement when they were announced for the Coachella lineup.  And then you can imagine when I got to see them at the Glass House.  (see previous posts!)  I really like their new songs.  Can't wait for the new album!  Yay, so I danced a lot.

Then we put on glow bracelets and danced happily to Justice.  It was a great feeling.  Desert night with a cool breeze.
